Rebecca’s Expertise

Rebecca has been writing and teaching writing in one form or another for 20 years.

An expert in composition and rhetoric, pedagogy, and literary and cultural studies, she began her career in higher education, earning her Ph.D. in English with a successful dissertation and peer-reviewed journal publications. She has created undergraduate and graduate-level writing curricula and helped to develop a university-wide Writing Across the Curriculum program.

Rebecca’s professional experience outside of the academy includes developmental editing and ghostwriting as well as instructional systems and curriculum design. She has taught and coached writing for graduate students and scholars in multiple disciplines, including STEM, and she has designed curriculum and coached writing for professionals and executives in government service and private industry.
